Ewan McGregor Saddles Up For ‘Jane Got A Gun’

By Elle on May 07, 2013 • Filed under Jane Got A Gun, Movies, News&Rumors0 comments

Well, despite whatever upheaval is going on casting wise, perhaps Joel Edgerton wasn’t kidding when he said everything was “wonderful” on the set of “Jane Got A Gun.” Thus far, the villain role has been toughest to slot with Michael Fassbender, Jude Law, and Bradley Cooper all coming and going as the movie has been rocked by director changes and cast defections; but perhaps this one will stick? At any rate, it will give “Star Wars” fans the reunion between Obi Wan-Kenobi and Queen Amidala they’ve been waiting for.

That’s right, Ewan McGregor is busting out the spurs to take on the bad guy role in the Natalie Portman starring and produced western. It’s a reteam of the “Star Wars” prequel stars and my God they were once so young… Here’s a refresher: The film will follow Jane Hammond (Portman), a good girl married to one of the worst baddies in town. When her husband Bill (Noah Emmerich) turns against his own gang, the vicious Bishop Boys, and returns home barely alive with eight bullets in his back, Jane decides to grab a gun and take matters into her own hands. As the relentless leader John Bishop (McGregor) gears up for revenge, Jane’s best hope for her family’s survival rests with her old love Dan Frost (Joel Edgerton) – a gunslinger whose hatred for Bill is only slightly overshadowed by his love for Jane.

We have to say, it’s a pretty great casting replacement and stepping back for a second — a western starring Portman, McGregor and Edgerton? Hard to argue with that. Yes, we can always dream about what Lynne Ramsay could’ve done with the material, but Gavin O’Connor is no slouch so perhaps everyone involved can make some good lemonade out of the last couple months of lemons. And with Ramsay headed to Cannes as part of Steven Spielberg’s jury, we presume we’ll hear her side of the saga soon enough.

Production is underway in New Mexico and barring any other disruptions, this is the final shape the movie will be in. Knock wood. Continue Reading

Natalie Portman and Michael Fassbender Team up for ‘MacBeth’

By Elle on May 02, 2013 • Filed under Career, Movies, News&Rumors0 comments

“MacBeth” fans, rejoice, because two very exciting actors have been tapped to play MacBeth and Lady MacBeth in an upcoming adaptation of the classic Shakespeare place. It’s being reported that Michael Fassbender and Natalie Portman will star in the Justin Kurzel-directed film.

Screen Daily revealed the news about Fassbender, while The Hollywood Reporter learned about Portman’s involvement. THR reports that the Todd Louiso and Jacob Koskoff-penned script is “billed as an updated version of Shakespeare’s tale of revenge and ambition, complete with the blood and thunder of the original tragedy.”

This isn’t the first time Portman and Fassbender were slated to work together. Fassbender was originally tapped to star opposite the “Thor: The Dark World” star in her new movie “Jane Got a Gun,” but passed when director Lynne Ramsay walked away. Jude Law later replaced him.

Production is slated to begin on “MacBeth” later in 2013. Continue Reading

She is very supportive of her husband’s new post and their move is a family decision according to Gossip Cop. This is going to be a new life for both the Oscar award-winning actress, Benjamin and their son Aleph Portman-Milleped. What about her husband’s L.A. Dance Project? Natalie Portman Moving to Paris

By Elle on February 03, 2013 • Filed under News&Rumors0 comments

ARIS—Hollywood star Natalie Portman is swapping New York for Paris along with her French husband Benjamin Millepied after he secured the post of dance director at the French capital’s Opera.

Millepied, a dancer and choreographer best known for a role alongside Portman in the film “Black Swan”, was named as the replacement for Brigitte Lefevre on Thursday.

The 35-year-old, who began his career at the New York City Ballet where he quickly rose to become a principal dancer in 2002, will take the reins of the prestigious establishment in October 2014, the opera said.

Millepied, who married Portman in California last August and has a young son with the Oscar-winning actress, said the whole family would be moving across the Atlantic.

“It is not very complicated, we are coming to live in Paris,” he said. “I’m not going to come without me family: No, no, it won’t be like that, it is a family choice.

“It is a great opportunity to be able to live in Paris after 20 years in New York. We are really looking forward to the experience and the plan is to find somewhere to live rapidly because I’m going to be spending a lot of time here.”

Millepied said that Portman, 31, his partner of nearly three years, had no intention of giving up her career, revealing that she would be considering offers from European film-makers.

“The fact that she will be in France won’t stop her doing projects outside of France, that’s the nature of her career,” he said.

“But there are great film-makers in Europe and why not imagine a phase of both our careers where we concentrate on European projects.” Continue Reading

Paparazzi Policy

By Elle on February 03, 2013 • Filed under Candids, Site0 comments

Hi my friends. After a long time of thinking about this idea I have finally made a decision. From today there, on this web site, will be no longer new candids photos of Natalie. You might have noticed that paparazzi have become more nosy and that Natalie, since she has become a mother, is more angry and upset every time she is caught up by them. Especially when she is with Aleph. I hope you understand this decision. I know this is not going to change a thing, paparazzi will be still around, I just don’t want this web site to be a part of this whole thing.
